1. Wat is Amoxicilline/Clavulaanzuur Devatis en waarvoor wordt dit medicijn ingenomen*
Amoxicilline/Clavulaanzuur Devatis is een antibioticum. Een antibioticum doodt bacteriën die een infectie veroorzaken. Dit medicijn bevat twee werkzame stoffen: amoxicilline en clavulaanzuur. Amoxicilline hoort bij een groep medicijnen die penicillines heten. Penicillines kunnen soms inactief worden gemaakt. Dit betekent dat ze niet meer werken. Clavulaanzuur zorgt ervoor dat dit niet gebeurt.
Dit medicijn wordt gebruikt bij volwassenen en kinderen voor de behandeling van infecties van:
- het middenoor en de bijholten
- organen betrokken bij de ademhaling
- urinewegen
- de huid en weke delen. Waaronder tanden.
- botten en gewrichten.
