1. Wat is Omnic Ocas 0,4 en waarvoor wordt dit middel gebruikt*
De werkzame stof in Omnic Ocas is tamsulosine. Dit is een selectieve alpha1A/1D-adrenoceptor blokker. Het vermindert de samentrekking van de gladde spieren in de prostaat en de plasbuis, waardoor de urine gemakkelijker door de plasbuis kan stromen en het plassen gemakkelijker gaat. Bovendien vermindert het gevoel van aandrang tot plassen.
Omnic Ocas wordt gebruikt bij mannen voor de behandeling van klachten aan de lagere urinewegen die voorkomen bij goedaardige prostaatvergroting. De klachten zijn o.a. moeilijk kunnen plassen (zwakke straal), nadruppelen, na het plassen nog steeds aandrang hebben, zowel overdag als ‘s nachts vaak moeten plassen.
